I hold my Bachelor of Music degree (BMus) in Vocal Performance and my Master of Music Degree (MMus) in Vocal Performance and Pedagogy from The University of Toronto. In addition to my university training, I have completed certificates in musical theatre performance from the Stella Adler Studio and Circle in the Square Theatre School, both in New York City. As an educator, I completed the Somatic Voicework – The LoVetri Method Teacher Training (Levels I-III) at Shenandoah University in 2015.
I have always been interested in singing as many styles as possible and consider myself a crossover artist. I have trained and performed in a wide variety of musical genres including opera, musical theatre, jazz, folk, and pop. I have also done commercial and voiceover work, most notably as the singing voice of Sofie on Little People (Family Jr.).
I have been fortunate that my career has taken me across North America and Europe. In 2019, I made my European debut as Zerlina in Don Giovanni at the Estates Theatre in Prague, CZ. Often selected as a prizewinner at classical voice competitions, I recently won the Toronto Mozart Vocal Competition in January 2020.
My goal is to instill a love of music making and vocal discovery in each of my students. I look forward to helping them build a solid technical foundation, celebrating their successes and assisting them in achieving their goals!
I believe in building a solid technical foundation to help my students access their full voice and potential in any musical style they choose. Everyone deserves to feel confident in their voice and I strive to provide my students with the tools to sing openly and freely so that they can share their truth with the world!
