Print | PDFLAMA is pleased to welcome Andrea Wingelaar as the instructor of Broadway 101!
Andrea was born and raised in KW and is a graduate of the Laurier Music Program as well as the Arts Program at Eastwood Collegiate Institute where she received the Prima Alumna and Triple Threat Awards upon graduation. She has choreographed/Asst. Directed A Little Night Music and also Directed/Choreographed Opera Excerpts for Opera Laurier.
Onstage she has performed in musicals like: The Sound Of Music (Mirvish), Chicago (Stage West Calgary), The Wedding Singer (Stage West Mississauga), The Rat Pack (Mirvish, London's West End, Original USA Tour/European Tour), The Producers (Neptune Theatre), The Wizard of Oz (Empire Theatre), Evita (Manitoba Theatre Centre) , as a singer for Norwegian Cruise Lines and various shows for Drayton Entertainment.
She has been teaching yoga, movement and breathwork for the last 15 years and specializes in family yoga (pre/postnatal) as well as workplace movement and mindfulness (Communitech, The Perimeter Institute) and can be found at www.ebbandflowandrea.com
Most recently she performed with Ayr Community Theatre in Clue: The Musical (Mrs Peacock) and Brigadoon (Meg Brockie) and is looking forward to Playing Fraulein Köst in KWMP's production of Cabaret at the Conrad Centre this fall.
She lives in Kitchener with her husband, two children and a golden retriever named Angus.
