Sept. 5, 2018
Print | PDFThe Faculty of Music's 2018-19 season opens on Sept. 13 with Mysterious Barricades, a concert streamed coast-to-coast to commemorate World Suicide Prevention Day.
Our Thursday Music at Noon series remains free of charge and features 23 recitals by distinguished faculty, alumni and guest artists.
In addition to another 60 concerts at the Faculty of Music and 25 at the Laurier Conservatory of Music, we have listed several events occurring at off-campus venues, including a new concert series at the Kitchener Public Library.
We are also pleased to add to our list of large ensemble concerts this year two performances by our outstanding Community Music Ensemble.
Following our 2016 presentation of Strauss’s Die Fledermaus with the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony (KWS), we will once again collaborate with the KWS to present a concert version of Bizet’s Carmen in January. Opera Laurier will also present its fully staged production of Massenet’s Cendrillon in March.
For events not listed in this guide, and for updated information, please visit our online concert calendar and watch the digital sign on University Avenue.
