Print | PDFDr. Sylvanus (Kwashie) Kuwor is a master drummer, and a music, dance, and theatre practitioner/scholar from University of Ghana, Legon. He is currently on a global research fellowship, with stops in Canada and the United States, exploring diasporic dimensions of African drum music.
He has had a decade of experience in Britain as a cultural educator where he used African drum music and dance in inclusion programmes aimed at integrating African refugees into mainstream society.
Dr. Kuwor comes to Laurier thanks to a connection made in 2019 when the Faculty of Music held a field course in Ghana.

No experience necessary and everyone is welcome.
