I received my PhD from the University of Toronto, an MSW from Laurier, an MDiv from Waterloo Lutheran Seminary and a BA from Florida State University.
Before joining Laurier, I was a social worker providing employee and family assistance at the Seagram’s Distillery, prior to that I was a hospital social worker on a special care pediatric unit, cardiac care unit (CCU), addictions treatment unit and out-patient psychiatry.
The main foci of my research have been on aggressive children in the schools system and creative arts in practice.
Because of administrative duties and a potential conflict related to duties on the Research Ethics Board, I have limited opportunities for student supervision.
