Sarin John earned his PhD in financial accounting at the University of Alberta. Before pursuing a career in academia, he worked in the enterprise software (data management/integration and advanced analytics) sector in the U.S. for a decade.
He also earned an MBA in finance at North Carolina State University and a Bachelor of Technology degree in computer science and engineering at Cochin University of Science and Technology in India.
His research interests are at the intersection of financial reporting, capital markets, economics of intangible assets and technological innovations, and corporate governance.
