I recently completed my PhD in Economics from the Toronto Metropolitan University (TMU) in 2024. Prior to that I received my MSc in Economics and Finance from Queen Mary, University of London in 2011 and BSc in Economics and Management from the London School of Economics, University of London in 2009.
Prior to joining Laurier I worked as a sessional lecturer at Toronto Metropolitan University.
My research interests lie in the field of macroeconomics with a focus on developmental economics, public policy, international economics, political economy and their intersection.
My current research focuses on the impact of external debt and foreign aid on the misallocation of resources in developing countries caused by the existence of politically connected firms. The outcomes of the research identify potential conditions that may help to eliminate this misallocation, if imposed with the current level of aid and debt.
