This exclusive session is presented by the Lazaridis Institute Scale-Up Program, a unique national program for Canadian tech CEOs who are in the process of scaling their companies. We are looking for the best tech scale-ups across Canada. Does that sound like you? If so, we’d love to talk to you about how we can help you dominate your industry.
Guy Kawasaki is the chief evangelist of Canva, an online graphic design tool. He is founder and managing director of Garage Technology Ventures, a venture capital firm that makes direct investments in early-stage technology companies. A noted speaker and the founder of various personal computer companies, Guy was an Apple fellow and one of the individuals responsible for the success of the Macintosh computer. Guy’s most recent book, Art of the Start 2.0, has been described as “the ultimate entrepreneurship handbook.” He is also the author of twelve books including Enchantment, Rules for Revolutionaries, How to Drive Your Competition Crazy, and Selling the Dream.
Companies in the Scale-Up Program expand and refine their unique roadmaps for growth while base-lining core areas needed for their next round of financing. They do this by working directly with experts who’ve had the experience of growing a company—or several companies—to global scale. Each company in the program is also carefully matched with a mentor chosen for their expertise in the company’s industry and with the company’s specific challenges. In our program, CEOs/founders of promising Canadian tech firms don’t spend six months planning their growth journeys—with all the support they receive, they can focus on making that growth happen.
