The Laurier Milton Admission Bursary is a new renewable bursary available exclusively to undergraduate students beginning their studies in fall 2025 at Laurier’s Milton campus.
The bursary is worth up to $5,000 over four years, with $1,250 being awarded each year.
Plus, the bursary can be combined with other financial awards, like entrance scholarships and the entrance bursary, allowing you to receive additional financial support in your first year.
Eligibility
You are eligible for the Laurier Milton Admission Bursary if you:
- Accept your offer of admission to full-time studies for fall 2025 at Laurier’s Milton campus by the deadline outlined on your offer.
- Complete the bursary application in LORIS by May 27, 2025.
- Complete a financial aid application (e.g., OSAP, Out-of-Province/Territorial Funding) no later than July 1, 2025.
- Financial need will be assessed through the submission of a complete financial aid application.
- Forgetting to complete a financial aid application or submission of an incomplete financial aid application may make you ineligible for the bursary.
- Are beginning your studies in fall 2025 at Laurier's Milton campus and are registered as a full-time student.
- A full-time course load is a minimum of 2.0 credits per term or the approved reduced course load registration outlined by your accommodation plan with Accessible Learning.
- Are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident or landed immigrant.
How to Apply and Receive the Bursary
There are two applications required to receive the bursary in your first year. To receive the bursary in your upper years, only the financial aid application is required.

- If you receive the bursary, it will be applied directly to your student account.
- You can find the disbursement schedule in LORIS to see exactly when funds will be applied to your account.
- The Laurier Milton Admission Bursary cannot be deferred.
To apply for and receive the bursary in your upper years, you must:
- Submit a complete financial aid application (e.g. OSAP, Out-of-Province/Territorial Funding) by July 1 annually and demonstrate financial need.
- Demonstration of financial need is determined through your financial aid application.
- Maintain a minimum GPA of 4.0 (C-) in each of your upper years.
- Be registered full-time studies at Laurier Milton's Campus.
- A full-time course load is a minimum of 2.0 credits per term or the approved reduced course load registration outlined by your accommodation plan with Accessible Learning.
- Complete your degree on Laurier’s Milton campus. If you choose to transfer to another Laurier campus, you will no longer be eligible for the bursary.
If the renewal requirements are not met in the academic year, the Laurier Milton Admission Bursary will not be renewed and cannot be renewed in a subsequent academic year. However, students may then be eligible to apply for the Laurier Tuition Bursary Program.
