Print | PDFPosition 181963 with Laurier Hub for Community Solutions, Brantford Campus
We have two major events coming up – a multicultural music event at the Sanderson Centre on Sept. 26, and a year-end celebration in November. This position would help coordinate these two events, with support from the Laurier Hub for Community Solutions team. This includes contacting artists and vendors, scheduling meetings, researching and booking buses, etc. This can be done by one student or two, with a flexible start date, end date, and number of hours per week. The description above represents the LHCS's vision for the position, but this can be finalized based on the student's availability and interests.
This is a hybrid position, based on the Brantford campus. In-person will be limited to weekly or bi-weekly in-person meetings, and being on campus the day of the event(s).
Located on Laurier's Brantford campus, the Laurier Hub for Community Solutions (LHCS) is an intake point, a front door, for groups seeking expertise to address community-based challenges and opportunities. The LHCS assists community partners in finding the appropriate collaborators for their projects, playing matchmaker between the university's faculty, researchers, students and research centres, and the broader community.
