Waterloo – For the fourth straight year, Wilfrid Laurier University has been named one of Waterloo Area’s Top Employers by Mediacorp Canada through the Canada’s Top 100 Employers, an editorial competition that recognizes the nation’s best places to work.
“Laurier succeeds when our employees succeed,” said Deborah MacLatchy, Laurier’s president and vice-chancellor. “Supporting an environment where our talented employees can experience a powerful sense of purpose and belonging remains an institutional priority.”
Canada’s Top 100 Employers is an annual competition recognizing leading national and regional organizations that offer exceptional workplaces for their employees. Organizations selected for these awards redefine how people work and live by developing and adapting policies and procedures to meet the changing expectations of today’s workforce. While the recognition is awarded at a regional level, it is based on the university’s efforts across its multi-campus locations.
“We are proud to again be recognized as a top employer in the Waterloo Region,” said Pamela Cant, chief human resources and equity officer at Laurier. “Laurier is an organization that truly values its employees and is committed to providing a positive and engaging employee experience. Our focus is to ensure that our faculty and staff feel part of our thriving community and are recognized and appreciated for their many contributions toward achieving Laurier’s goals.”
