For Immediate Release
WATERLOO - Wilfrid Laurier University’s Alumni Association (WLUAA) is proud to announce the recipients of the 2022 Alumni Awards of Excellence. The association will honour the recipients of these prestigious awards at a ceremony Sept. 24 as part of Homecoming on Laurier’s Waterloo campus.
“Our award recipients have made outstanding contributions to the Laurier community and the greater community as well,” said Kyle Walker (BA ’11), president of WLUAA. “These alumni impressively demonstrate the commitment to leadership and purpose Laurier strives to instill in its students and graduates. On behalf of Laurier’s alumni association, I invite and encourage our communities to join us as we celebrate these exceptional alumni.”
The Alumni Awards of Excellence recognize achievements of alumni, students and friends who have made significant contributions to the Laurier community.
“It is my distinct pleasure to extend a heartfelt congratulations to this year’s recipients of the Alumni Awards of Excellence,” said Deborah MacLatchy, Laurier president and vice-chancellor. “These distinguished awards recognize and celebrate the important contributions and accomplishments of very special members of the Laurier community.”
The Alumni Awards of Excellence are bestowed annually thanks to the dedicated efforts of volunteer WLUAA board members who make the awards possible.
