Laurier mourns the passing of student Matthew Mills

The Wilfrid Laurier University community mourns the recent passing of student Matthew Mills.

Matthew was a student at the Brantford campus enrolled in the Digital Media and Journalism program. Despite suffering a chronic illness for over 20 years, Matthew worked hard through his pain to obtain two graduate certificates from Mohawk College and was two credits away from completing his degree at Laurier. Matthew will be remembered as a kind and gentle soul who loved animals, music and his family.

Laurier’s Dean of Students for the Brantford campus has been in contact with Matthew’s family to offer support and condolences.
