Print | PDFThe Wilfrid Laurier University community mourns the passing of student Shannon Rogers, after a courageous battle with cancer.
Shannon was a very active and passionate member of the Brantford campus. She was President of the English Student Association and an active volunteer with Queer Sphere at the Centre for Student Equity, Diversity and Inclusion. Shannon was also an advocate for individuals battling cancer, and her Ted Talk entitled “Thriving from Surviving: Lessons from childhood cancer” can be seen here.
Laurier’s Dean of Students for the Brantford campus has been in contact with Shannon’s family to offer support and condolences.
