Print | PDFNeed a Hallowe’en costume idea? Be a blood donor!
On Saturday, Oct. 31, Canadian Blood Services is hosting a donor clinic from 8 a.m. to noon at the Bridgeport Street location in Waterloo. Come as you are to donate and enjoy a few treats when your appointment is done. Laurier is just 22 donations away from reaching its goal of 350 blood donations in 2020.
Laurier faculty, staff, students, alumni and community members can pre-book a blood donation appointment online. If you can’t donate on Oct. 31, consider booking an appointment during the following times:
For those living outside Waterloo Region, visit blood.ca and enter your postal code to find upcoming clinic dates and locations. To comply with physical distancing, Canadian Blood Services can only welcome donors with appointments.
Laurier is a Canadian Blood Services Partner for Life. Help us reach our goal by including your donation in Laurier’s pledge to Canadian Blood Services. Complete the Partners for Life member registration form and include Laurier’s partner ID (WILF001529) or tell clinic staff to count your donation in Laurier’s pledge.
It is safe to donate blood during COVID-19? Visit Canadian Blood Services’ website for details about donor health requirements, screening measures and cleaning practices. If you are unsure if you are eligible to donate, please visit the Canadian Blood Services eligibility page or call 1-888-2-Donate to talk with a nurse.
