Print | PDFIf rising temperatures put a spring in your step, mask up and make your way to a Canadian Blood Services location to donate blood if you’re able.
Wilfrid Laurier University is a Canadian Blood Services’ Partner for Life and makes an annual pledge of blood donations. This year, Laurier has pledged 375 blood donations, a pledge the university hopes to meet and exceed with continued support from Laurier blood donors. In 2020, Laurier donors contributed a record-breaking 477 units of blood during Canadian Blood Services clinics, exceeding the university’s pledge of 350.
“Laurier’s blood donors help to keep our communities strong,” says Carleen Carroll, assistant vice-president: External Relations at Laurier. “With brighter days ahead, I encourage Laurier faculty, staff, students and alumni to donate blood if they are able.”
The Canadian Blood Services clinic at 84 Bridgeport Rd. E. in Waterloo welcomes blood donors during the following days and times, but appointments must be booked in advance online:
Canadian Blood Services will host donor clinics at the following locations throughout Brant and Waterloo Region:
