April 29, 2022
Print | PDFThe time has come to celebrate the Wilfrid Laurier University class of 2020 and 2021, whose convocation ceremonies were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
Laurier welcomed back hundreds of students who finished their degrees in 2020 and 2021 to walk across the stage in front of family and friends at a graduation ceremony in Brantford on April 20 and ceremonies in Waterloo from April 27-29. Visit Laurier's YouTube channel for a playlist of ceremonies.
Graduating is one of the most joyous occasions at university. Faculty, staff friends and family rallied to celebrate all the achievements of these students in Laurier’s first in-person ceremonies since 2020.
Degrees for the class of 2020 and 2021 were officially conferred by Laurier Chancellor Eileen Mercier virtually at the time. Ceremonies for 2022 graduates will take place in June.
Laurier’s face-covering policy was in place, and graduates were allowed to remove their masks in designated photo areas.
