Wilfrid Laurier University invites faculty, staff, students, alumni and friends of the university to give blood as part of Laurier’s Partners for Life team. Team members can give at any Canadian Blood Services’ clinic or mobile location in Canada and have their donation count toward the university’s pledge. Laurier has pledged 475 units of blood for 2023.
New this spring, Canadian Blood Services will provide pizza for groups of three or more who donate on Thursdays at its Waterloo clinic location. Free transportation to and from the clinic is also available. Contact Gina Leyva, community development manager at Canadian Blood Services, at gina.leyva@blood.ca to arrange a group donation and transportation.
Canadian Blood Services’ Waterloo clinic is located at 94 Bridgeport Rd. E. Appointments must be booked in advance online at blood.ca.
Canadian Blood Services will hold a mobile clinic in Brantford on Saturday, May 27 at the Branlyn Community Centre, 238 Brantwood Park Rd. Transportation from Laurier’s Brantford campus to the clinic will be provided at no charge.
