Print | PDFWilfrid Laurier University condemns the terrorist attack on Israel and is deeply concerned with the escalation of violence in the region. We stand against violence, particularly acts of terrorism targeting civilians. As our community engages in discourse around recent events, we ask everyone to keep in mind the civilian impacts, and the impacts on our Jewish, Palestinian and Muslim communities on our campuses. We strongly condemn acts of antisemitism and Islamophobia; we need compassion and respect for each other during this time.
We know that many Laurier community members are directly or indirectly connected to the region and are experiencing uncertainty and concern. The safety and well-being of our faculty, staff and students is our top priority. We encourage anyone at Laurier who is feeling the impacts of these attacks to reach out to the university supports:
