Print | PDFWilfrid Laurier University mourns the passing of R. John Kominar, a former professor in the Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry. John passed away on Sept. 15, 2023, at the age of 82.
John’s teaching career at Laurier began in 1969 and spanned 35 years. He retired in 2006 and is fondly remembered by colleagues and former students.
John leaves behind his wife Patricia, children Kerri, John, Kris and Koni, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, extended family and many friends.
A funeral service will be held on Sept. 23, 2023, at Erb & Good Family Funeral Home, 171 King St. S. in Waterloo, beginning at 11 a.m. Condolences for the family may be shared at www.erbgood.com. Donations to a charity of your choice are preferred in lieu of flowers.
