Print | PDFEvery year, Wilfrid Laurier University celebrates teaching excellence through the Donald F. Morgenson Awards for Teaching Excellence and the Student Teaching Awards of Excellence. These awards recognize faculty, student teachers and staff who make significant contributions to the learning experiences of Laurier students through innovative, inclusive and inspired teaching practices.
Nominations are now being accepted for the Donald F. Morgenson Awards for Teaching Excellence. Nominations for the Student Teaching Awards will open Nov. 1.
The Donald F. Morgenson Awards for Teaching Excellence recognize faculty for sustained and early career excellence, for being mentors and classroom innovators who actively engage students, and for embedding internationalization into curriculum and pedagogy. Laurier staff can be nominated for contributions to teaching and learning that exemplify the institution's commitment to academic excellence. The awards program has seven categories:

Students who are interested in nominating a faculty or staff member and would like information about eligibility and nomination requirements can email teachingawards@wlu.ca.
Completed nomination packages for the awards are due by Feb. 1, 2024.
