Print | PDFWilfrid Laurier University’s Hawk Shop has launched a One Heart, One Mind, One Vision merchandise collection featuring the mural by Indigenous artist Mike Cywink that graces the southwest wall of the Waterloo campus library.
A collaboration between the Office of Indigenous Initiatives and the Hawk Shop, the collection includes tote bags, t-shirts, notebooks, mugs and more. Products are available at the Waterloo and Brantford Hawk Shops.
"The library mural One Heart, One Mind, One Vision is such a vibrant centerpiece for Indigenous placemaking at Laurier,” says Darren Thomas, Laurier’s associate vice-president of Indigenous Initiatives. “The entire mural project met its goal of building community at Laurier, from creating the vision for the mural to the days painting the panels. The new Indigenous merchandise line at the Hawk Shop will allow the Laurier community to take the mural home with them."
Artist Mike Cywink is generously donating half of his royalty fee to the Office of Indigenous Initiatives, so that 10 per cent of the proceeds of each sale will go to support Indigenization at Laurier.
