Print | PDFWilfrid Laurier University has unveiled the Laurier Strategic Action Plan.
The action plan aligns the work of the university’s departments on shared objectives and goals within four Focus Areas and two Foundations for Success and builds on the mission and vision set in the Laurier Strategy in 2019.
“The Strategic Action Plan ensures we are focused for a thriving future,” says Deborah MacLatchy, president and vice-chancellor. “It is centered on excellence, sustainability, transparency, and accountability,”
The Laurier Strategic Action Plan is the result of a number of consultations held at Laurier throughout the winter of 2024. Faculty, contract teaching faculty, staff, student leaders and the university’s Board and Senate gave the Executive Leadership Team feedback on a draft plan, which evolved through the process.
The transparent and measurable goals, objectives and targets ensures the university is responsibly managing its resources to support academics, student success, community engagement, research, operations and human resources to strengthen Laurier as an institution that supports thriving communities.
Progress on the targets in the plan will be reported annually to the university Senate and Board of Governors.
