Print | PDFLaurier is pleased to welcome Special Olympics Ontario athletes, their families, coaches, volunteers and spectators to the Waterloo campus for the 2024 Spring Games, held May 23 through 26.
Laurier is an official Games Partner and will host swimming and basketball events in the Athletic Complex at the Waterloo campus. The complete event schedule is available online.
If you plan on attending Spring Games’ events at Laurier, the following information will help you have a ‘golden’ Games experience.
Laurier encourages campus visitors to download SafeHawk, the university's campus safety app, and enable notifications to receive time-sensitive alerts. Laurier is a smoke-free campus. Smoking of any kind is prohibited.
Select swimming events take place at Laurier’s Athletic Complex on May 23. Basketball takes place on May 24 and May 25 at the Athletic Complex. Visit the Spring Games schedule of events online for game start times and locations.
The Healthy Athletes program takes in the Bricker Academic Building from noon to 8 p.m. on May 24 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 25.
Weekday parking is available with in-person payment options, including coins and credit cards, at pay-and-display lots. Lots 4 and 20 are pay-and-display lots located off Mid-campus Drive and near the Athletic Complex.
Parking payments can also be made via the HonkMobile parking app (use zone 3512) in all pay-and-display lots, lots 3A, 3B, 37 (Northdale campus) and 48 (35 University Ave. E.). For more information about parking, visit the Waterloo campus interactive parking map.
The concession kiosk in the Athletic Complex will be open during the basketball events. Cash, debit and credit are accepted.
