What interests you the most about the subjects you’re studying?   

What interests me the most about studying Computer Science is the comprehensive approach it offers. This holistic approach ensures that I gain a deep understanding across all areas of computer science, rather than just being limited to one aspect. 

What do you enjoy the most about your program?   

In this program I delve into various facets of the field, including hardware, software and different programming languages. 

Why did you choose Laurier?   

I chose Laurier primarily for its close-knit community atmosphere. At Laurier, you’re not just another student – you truly matter. From the moment I interacted with the university, I felt a genuine sense of welcome and support. This nurturing environment assured me that Laurier was where I could truly excel and grow.   

How do your academic and extracurricular activities contribute to a positive student experience?   

Academically, I’ve engaged in practical learning through labs and tutorials. My extracurricular involvement – which includes clubs like the Laurier Computing Society and Business Design Laurier, as well as committees like Foot Patrol – has not only connected me with like-minded peers but also provided opportunities for fun events between classes. 

How is your Laurier experience helping you grow into the person you want to become? 

My experience at Laurier is undeniably shaping me into the person I aspire to be. Through academic challenges and extracurricular involvement, I’m developing essential skills like critical thinking, leadership and adaptability. Additionally, participating in Laurier’s co-op work experience program has been invaluable, providing me with real-world work experience in my field. 

What are your plans for life after Laurier? 

My plans after graduating from Laurier involve working in the tech field, leveraging the valuable experience gained from my co-op placements. I aim to apply my skills and knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the industry and pursue opportunities for professional growth and advancement.
