Print | PDFThe Wilfrid Laurier University community mourns the passing of John “Jack” Bramm on March 8, 2025, at his home in Toronto.
Jack’s successful 40-year career in advertising got started through his degree at Waterloo College where he took a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1948. During his time at Laurier, Jack worked on The Cord and was a Founders’ Chapter member.
Throughout his career, Jack was involved in many industry organizations, was volunteer president for the Royal Life Saving Society and an active member of clubs related to his passion for fishing. He was awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Silver Jubilee Medal in 1977 and the Queen Elizabeth II Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002 for his contributions to his community.
Jack stayed connected to Laurier through his membership on the Board of Governors from 1975-1981 and as an annual donor. His wife Lorraine is also a Laurier alum, graduating in 1950 with a Bachelor of Arts.
