Co-op for Faculty of Science Students

Co-op is designed to provide you with opportunities to develop skills and gain real-world experience in the career path of your interest. Co-op students gain a competitive advantage over other applicants by completing modules and assignments focused on cover letter and resume writing, as well as mock interviews, within the required Fundamentals of Co-operative Education course.

During your co-op work terms, you'll learn to challenge assumptions, communicate effectively, think critically and work cooperatively.

How Science Co-op Works

You can apply for admission to co-op after first year and may be eligible for an admission interview early in your second year. If you are admitted to co-op, you will be eligible to complete two work terms of four months’ duration, in the spring after your second and third year of study.

How Computer Science and Data Science Co-op Works

You can apply for admission to co-op after first year and may be eligible for an admission interview early in your second year. If you are admitted to co-op, you will be eligible to complete three work terms alternating with your studies, starting in third year.
