Co-op for User Experience Design Students

As a Laurier User Experience Design (UXD) student, you will gain in-depth knowledge of design thinking, information architecture, interface design, interaction design, usability testing and product research and development.

During your 12-16 month work term, you'll develop strong technical skills in lab and studio environments and can apply your skills in industry, government or community organizations.

How User Experience Design Co-op Works

Co-op allows you to develop skills and gain real-world experience while completing paid work terms.

You are required to apply for admission to co-op at the beginning of third year and participate in a competitive entry process.

If you are admitted to co-op, you will get assistance with career planning, job search and interview preparation through the Fundamentals of Co-operative Education course. You will apply to job postings and attend interviews to secure your co-op employment.

Course Sequencing

Students in the UXD co-op program complete a 12- to 16-month work term starting in May after your third year of study.
