PhD in Management, Accounting
I chose to pursue my PhD at Lazaridis School of Business and Economics as it is a highly ranked institution, and I had the pleasure of experiencing firsthand during my undergrad the Laurier community, inclusivity, and excellence. I was eager to pursue my PhD at the very institution that helped me reach my first career goal of becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant. From the curriculum to the faculty to the students, Laurier is a world class institution and feels like a second home to most. My supervisors and other faculty members ensure I am always supported, and the intimate program allows me to work closely with my peers.
My research is in the field of behavioural management accounting, specifically the subjectivity of performance reviews and promotion assessments, helping behaviour and knowledge sharing.
My career goal is to obtain a tenure track position at a North American University, contributing research to the field of accounting and inspiring the next generation of Business Graduates.
