At Laurier, our horn community is a close-knit group of students and professors who gather weekly and take great pride in our studio. Our students perform with various local ensembles, including the Waterloo Chamber Orchestra, Stratford Symphony, Cambridge Symphony, and Guelph Symphony. Additionally, we form horn quartets and trios, working together weekly to refine our sound.
French horn students participate in masterclasses and special events, fostering a supportive community of performers. We invite guest presenters to our masterclasses several times each term, ensuring a well-rounded and enriching learning experience for our students.
Admission to the Bachelor of Music is determined by a holistic review of your audition, academic transcript, interview, reference and optional portfolio.
