In our fast-paced digital era, communications often appear to be growing shorter and more fragmented by the day.
But there is so much of importance to our communities and lives that cannot be summarized in a status update, text message, or tweet.
WLU Press is one of Canada’s leading scholarly publishing houses, publishing 30-35 titles a year, and with over 700 titles in print, aimed at transforming processes, minds and cultures.
Founded in 1974, the press has a well-established reputation for excellence in scholarly publishing in the areas of history, literature, sociology, social work, life writing, film and media studies, aboriginal studies, women’s studies, philosophy, and religious studies.
Furthering its reach and influence, the press has co-publishing partnerships with organizations including the Laurier Centre for Military, Strategic and Disarmament Studies, the Association for Bahá’í Studies, and the Toronto International Film Festival.
WLU Press also provides prepress, typographic, subscription, and fulfilment services to a range of scholarly journals, and participates actively in the intellectual life of Canada and the world through active participation in a wide array of book fairs, conferences, and academic meetings.
