Registration, Refunds and Cancellations

LALL course and certificate offerings are open to all, so you do not need to apply for admission to the university to register for our learning opportunities.

How to Register

Registration and payment for courses is completed online at continuingeducation.wlu.ca.

• Once registered, you will receive a confirmation email
• Additional information will be sent via email as required
• No tickets are required at the door – we will confirm your registration upon entry by asking for your name
• If you have difficulties registering online or need an alternative method of payment, please contact our office at lifelonglearning@wlu.ca. 

Refunds

Notice of withdrawal must be sent to lifelonglearning@wlu.ca.

If a course is eligible for a refund and is requested, the refund amount will follow the schedule below. The administrative fee covers registration, credit card and administration fees.

• Up to 14 days before the start of course: Full refund less 10% administrative fee or option for deferral.
• Seven to 13 days before start of course: Full refund less 30% administrative fee or option for deferral.
• One to six days before start of course: Full refund less 50% administrative fee or option for deferral.

Note: No refund of any sort will be given if the university is closed for any reason during your course.

Deferral Process

If for some reason you are unable to participate in a registered lecture, we would be happy to defer your registration to a different offering.

• Request to defer must be received before the start date of the course to lifelonglearning@wlu.ca
• The upcoming course chosen must be within one year from the deferral date and must still have available seats
• Once a deferred course is chosen, no further deferral or refund will be issued
• Deferred course chosen must be of the same value as the originally registered course

Course Cancellation

Laurier reserves the right to cancel lectures with insufficient enrollment, inclement weather, or other unforeseen circumstances. In the event of a cancellation, all registration fees will be refunded or deferred for registered participants.
