After you apply to Laurier, you must send us your required documents so that we can assess your application.
Do not wait until the deadlines (listed below) to submit your required documents. The earlier we receive your documents, the earlier we can consider you for admission.
Laurier does not confirm the receipt of documents by phone or email. Use your applicant portal account to confirm this information.
What's the applicant portal?
The applicant portal is where you can find everything you need related to your application to Laurier.
Required documents should be submitted within two weeks from the date you applied. If you are worried about meeting any deadlines pertaining to your application, email chooselaurier@wlu.ca or international@wlu.ca.
Unofficial transcripts must be submitted electronically through your applicant portal account (see instructions below).
In many cases, we can make an admission decision using an unofficial, scanned copy of your document(s), which must be submitted online through your applicant portal account (see instructions below).
Laurier does not accept unofficial documents submitted by email.
After you are admitted to the university and accept your offer of admission, you must arrange to have your official, final documents sent to Laurier. Documents can be submitted in a few ways:
Use your applicant portal account to confirm this information. Laurier does not confirm the receipt of documents by phone or email.
Your uploaded documents will automatically be submitted to the Recruitment and Admissions office. Receipt of mailed documents is also communicated through your portal.
You are required to submit your transcripts from each high school and postsecondary institution you have attended. If you are a transfer applicant, you may not be required to submit your high school transcript. Check your applicant portal account to view your specific list of required documents that are needed to assess your application.
Laurier may also request additional supporting documents at the discretion of the Recruitment and Admissions office, including academic or English-language tests.
If you currently attend an Ontario high school, your transcripts are sent to us automatically from your high school through the OUAC. All other applicants must submit official transcripts from each high school and postsecondary institution attended.
Submit your unofficial transcripts showing current course enrolment and grades-to-date electronically using your applicant portal account. After you accept your offer of admission, you must arrange to have your final, official transcripts sent to us directly from the issuing institution in a sealed and stamped envelope.
Notes:
If you are transferring from an Ontario postsecondary institution, you can request to have your postsecondary transcripts sent directly to us from the OUAC at the time of your application.
You can request the OUAC to send your transcripts electronically on your behalf. If you wish to be considered for admission between January and March, you should submit your unofficial transcript through your portal account so that we receive them in time.
If you currently attend or have ever attended a Quebec CEGEP, you can arrange for the OUAC to submit your transcripts electronically on your behalf.
If you have not studied for a minimum of three years in English, you are required to submit a satisfactory score on an accepted test of English proficiency. If we've asked you to provide an ELP, you may request an exemption if you have studied in an English-language school system on a full-time basis for a minimum of three years.
Academically qualified students who do not meet our English proficiency requirements may receive an offer of admission to an academic program that is conditional upon meeting the requirements prior to enrolling.
You must disclose all of your postsecondary education at the time you apply to Laurier. It is your responsibility to ensure that your application information is truthful, complete and correct.
If there were periods of time that you were not enrolled in postsecondary studies since completing high school, you must provide a "List of Activities" to account for those periods of time when you submit your OUAC application.
We may also request that you submit an "Education Declaration" form through your applicant portal account to verify your postsecondary education experience.
