Canadian Curriculums Outside Ontario

You may receive a conditional offer based on your in-class marks. To maintain your offer of admission, your final average is based on 5 courses and includes your diploma results, which must meet the minimum admission requirements. Two 3.0 credit courses can be used to equal one 5.0 credit course. 

Laurier does accept Social Studies 30-2 and Math 30-2. 

When presented with both a school and diploma grade Laurier will use the highest grade given.

English Studies 12 or English First Peoples 12 is required for all programs. Admission averages are calculated using five courses from the accepted courses list, including required courses for your program (where applicable).

Laurier also accepts AP and IB courses, any language 12 course, as well as French Immersion versions of courses on the accepted course list. 

Provincially mandated literacy and numeracy exams are not considered for admission. Review the list of accepted courses below, which reflect recent changes made to the British Columbia high school curriculum.

Five courses are used for assessment. Courses must be coded 40s, 45 or 42S (for AP courses).

Six courses are used for assessment. Courses must be coded 120/121/122.

Six two-credit courses are used for assessment. Courses must be coded at the 3200 level for consideration.

If you study in the French Language curriculum, you may present the equivalent 3000-level required courses.

Five courses are used for assessment. Courses must be presented at the Academic or Advanced levels.

Five courses are used for assessment. Courses must be coded 611/621.

Five courses are used for assessment. An average of English A30 & B30 will be used in the assessment of your application. Courses must be coded 30.

Quebec

• Six courses will be used for assessment if you are completing Grade 12, Pre-U. This includes English.
• Laurier does not accept Sec 5 for admissions.

Quebec CEGEP

• Students completing one year of CEGEP, must present a minimum of 12 courses for consideration.
• For students completing or who have completed a DEC the top 12 courses (including required courses where applicable) will be used.
  • Please note that 109 courses are not used for admissions or transfer credit assessment.
• Two English 603/604 must be presented each at a minimum of 60%.
• The R-score is not used in the assessment of an applicant.
• CEGEP students will be considered for Entrance Scholarships and are guaranteed residence if they apply with their deposit by the deadline.

Candidates completing one year of CEGEP are considered for admission into first year. Candidates completing two years of CEGEP are considered for transfer credits for up to 10 courses (5.0 credits). Courses should have a minimum final grade of 70% or higher.
